I grilled this during the "grilling season" w/c was last month. I got busy and forgot to blog this right away. Anyways, it's still grilling season somewhere! but you can certainly bake or broil them too!
This dish is one of my papa's favorite and when ever my mama prepares this dish she always grills fish along side the liempo, so i do the same thing. I will blog the Grilled Tilapia wrapped in banana leaves after this.
CUT THE PORKBELLY INTO STRIPS, SEASON W/ GARLIC POWDER, ONION POWDER, SALT AND PEPPER. GRILL UNTIL COOKED.
LAMI KAAYO (SO DELICIOUS). I LIKE MINE SERVED W/ SPICY VINEGAR
SINUGBA NA LIEMPO (GRILLED PORK BELLY) WITH STEAMED WHITE RICE, CHERRY TOMATOES, GRILLED CORN AND SPICY HOT VINEGAR DIP
ENJOY!!!!!
I don't believe I've ever had pork belly. Does it have a lot of fat? It looks really yummy!
ReplyDeleteBacon are from porkbelly cuts. This one i'm using is a fresh cut no flavorings. It's kinda' fatty but if you get the good part of the belly it has good amount of meat vs. the fatty portion. But really fatty or not these are so good.
ReplyDeleteI know this was very tasty!Great blog! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this recipe, love pork belly. How do you make your spicy vinegar? Take care now. xxx
ReplyDeleteHi, Cheryl! It's tasty and smells good too!
ReplyDeleteHello, Raymonde. How are you? I usually use the Filipino bottled spicy vinegar. It is a coconut vinegar with Thai bird chilis, sliced garlic, onions in it. But you can make your own by using either cider vinegar or white vinegar if you don't have the access for coconut vinegar.
ReplyDeleteThank you TaGa_Luto, have a good week!! xx
